- Develop metabolomic workflows and establish advanced analytic approaches
- Maintain and operate mass spectrometry instrumentation (LC-MS and GC-MS)
- Train researchers within the Institute to carry out independent metabolomic procedures
- You should have a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences or a related discipline or related field, or equivalent vocational qualification and / or equivalent experience in laboratory management.
- You should have proven experience in metabolomics applications and workflows, including sample preparation, data acquisition on Orbitrap systems and processing As well as Experience with processing metabolomics data using specialist software (vendor or open source). Experience in metabolic flux analysis is highly desirable.

Description
This post involves supporting the Proteomics and Metabolomics Facility within the Institute of Clinical Sciences and MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences, specifically in the area of metabolomic research. Our overall research aims to strengthen the basic science underpinning our understanding of human diseases and the translation of high-quality research into a clinical setting. The Proteomics and Metabolomics Facility works closely with research groups in the Institute to meet the requirements in the areas of metabolomics and proteomics analysis. The Facility currently houses two LC-MS and one GC-MS systems for metabolomic research. (For further details see:
