    CONSULTANT IN INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE

    £96,963 - £128,841 PER ANNUM PRO RATA

    Applications are invited for a Consultant Intensive Care Medicine at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. This substantive post comprises ten programmed activities (8 DCC: 2 SPA). The post is required to cover the Critical Care Units but sessions in other allied specialties e.g. anaesthesia, acute adult medicine could also be accommodated.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and able individual to join a friendly and dynamic critical care team. It is also an opportunity to live and work in the Highlands of Scotland known for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and fantastic outdoors lifestyle.

    The Critical Care Unit has 9 Consultant Intensivists, 3 Specialty Doctors, 1 Advanced Critical Care Practitioner and 1 ACCP-trainee, 13 Specialty Trainees (mixed anaesthesia and ACCS shared with anaesthesia) and 2 Clinical Development Fellows. The on-call is dedicated to Intensive Care medicine and is currently 1:9 with prospective cover.

    Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the time of interview.
