    About the jobWe are looking for an Investment Executive / Manager for our Northern office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team.

    We work closely with management teams to identify appropriate value enhancement strategies and apply an ESG lens to every investment we make.

    What the job involves

    • Work within the team to contribute to originating new investment opportunities;
    • Support the Investment Team with the internal processes required to take an investment through from introduction to completion. This will include all elements of the deal process from reviewing new opportunities through to supporting the preparation of internal committee papers;
    • Provide support to the Partners and Investment Directors in structuring investments, preparing returns models and undertaking detailed financial analysis;
    • Assisting in project managing new investments with a focus on handling due diligence workstreams;
    • Contribute to post-investment strategic growth initiatives, particularly bolt-on acquisition opportunities for portfolio companies. Who we are looking for
    • Commercially minded, excited to work with owner managed businesses and aligned with Palatine's ethos of Positive Equity;
    • Between 2-4 years of M&A or corporate finance experience gained from working in transaction services, M&A advisory, internal M&A/corporate development, banking or similarly relevant roles;
    • Ability to reference involvement and highlight roles and responsibilities in the successful completion of a number of M&A transactions;
    • Strong financial analysis skills;
    • An entrepreneurial streak, motivated to work independently and used to working to deadlines;
    • Office-based role. Palatine recognises the importance of flexible working. However, on a day-to-day basis the role will be primarily based out of our Manchester office.
