    Working Full time : 37.5 hours per week

    We are looking for an experienced health care professional to join our team of tutors working in a busy Education and Training Centre. You need the ability to work well in a small team and possess strong self-motivation.

    Our core working days are between 8-5 Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings to support nationally accredited courses.

    Evidence and experience of teaching is desirable, and wide knowledge of clinical procedures and emergency techniques are essential.

    Your duties would involve teaching to all grades and roles of staff, participating on the trusts mandatory training programme and both the Nursing and Medical education programmes. In addition to these duties include audit, service development, and supporting the Trust Cardiac Arrest team via emergency bleep response.

    Main duties of the job

    1. To offer both classroom and clinical area training session in Resuscitation, Clinical Skills and Simulation to multidisciplinary teams and groups. Helping ensure the provision of quality education and training planned to achieve the departments targets and KPI's.

    2. To assist the departmental manager in developing, provide and evaluate a wide range of Resuscitation, Clinical Skills and Simulation training programmes. Offered to the multidisciplinary team including medical and dental staff, nursing and allied health professionals.

    3. To take named responsibility for coordination of national courses and training programmes, in order to train Trust staff and external candidates, delegated by the departmental manager.

    4. To provide training courses for external NHS and private sector staff to support the departmental income generation target.

    5. To assist the implementation of medium/high fidelity training programmes utilising the department's simulation suite. Facilitating feedback sessions to offer personal and group debrief.

    6. To support specialist departments across the organisation such as Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Theatres and Obstetrics in delivery of their Resuscitation and Clinical Skills training packages.
