Job Title Inspection/Quality Controller

Location Portsmouth

Salary £13/£13.50 depending on experience

Hours Day shift

The Role


The Inspection/Quality Controller is responsible for the smooth running of the Quality Control / Inspection to ensure that the machine parts are manufactured to spec, good quality and on time in a safe manner.


  • Prioritising the daily workload of the Quality Control / Inspection to meet the needs of the Customer.
  • Carryout Quality Control / Inspection tasks, assisting in Quality Audits and meeting ISO standards.
  • Liaise with Customers on Non Conformance Report's (NCR's), concessions and drawing issues.
  • Sign off and release parts with a certificate of conformity and all inspection reports.
  • Working closely with the other Production Supervisors to ensure machine parts are ready for assembly.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager on trouble shooting issues.
  • Assisting the Production Co-Ordinator on daily transport for delivery of parts.
  • Keeping the Team Leader informed of any concerns.
  • Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, quality and Health & Safety procedures. Always promote a safe working environment.
