Milk Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school based in the BD2 area of Bradford.

The most important attribute is the willingness to get involved and be proactive. This will be full time hours, Monday-Friday, in betweenthe hours of 8.30am-3.30pm.

The ideal person for the role will need to be really flexible as it may be a combined role, such as working with different age groups, as a general teaching assistant but also with 1:1.

The role will involve support with childrenwith challenging behaviours and SEND needs, so ideally experience with this, will be ideal.

If successful, you will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support access to learning and provide 1:1 support and support throughout the classroom.

What you will need to apply

To be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen
The ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently

To be able to follow and adhere to school policies and procedures in regards to child protection and data protection based on each school-specific policy.

Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3), above, or similar

Confident in implementing and learning support techniques, such as PEC's & Makaton

Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to raise self-esteem
Compassionate and positive with a flexible approach when supporting the child
