Reserving Actuary – Lloyds Market

Our client is currently on the lookout for an experienced Reserving Actuary within the Lloyds Market. They are a leading insurance provider who are well known for their strong presence in the industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Actuary looking to make their next move.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate gross and net reserves by class of business and take ownership of specific divisions.
• Conduct reserving analysis and assist in managing relationships with Supervisory Actuarial Officers.
• Prepare reports for Quarterly Syndicate & Group functions utilizing data warehouses.
• Collaborate with pricing, underwriting, and claims teams to provide support and insights.
• Prepare reserving information for management decision-making and to support underwriting teams.
• Evaluate reserve risk parameters for internal capital models.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on specific areas of the portfolio and provide support to the Group function.

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to make objective decisions based on clear rationale.
• Experience in General Insurance, particularly in reserving and/or Technical Provision reporting.
• Knowledge of Lloyd's reserving practices is desirable.
• SQL experience is advantageous.
