Are you an experienced Specification Technologist looking for an exciting new role?


Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Specification Technologist to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Biggleswade working as part of their Quality Assurance team.

With a huge uplift in customer demand, the business is growing rapidly and consequently the Quality & NPD teams are needing to scale and grow at pace.


Principle Responsibilities for the Specification Technologist:

  • Complete customer own format and BI Development specifications, ingredient declarations and customer formant specification
  • Complete customer SAQ's
  • Handle enquiries on product recipes and the raw materials they contain including country of origin, food scares, health and safety data, allergen and nutritional information
  • Maintain awareness of legislative issues including UK and EU food law.
  • Complete end to end specifications enabling customers to complete field to fork traceability.

Person specification:

  • Experience of writing specifications
  • Experience of technical food standards
  • Awareness of HACCP, allergens and controls
  • Strong communication skills
This is a full time permanent Shift Leader position, working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary depending on experience plus annual company benefits to include a 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension scheme and free car parking
