The Curriculum Content Writer purpose is to design and manage a curriculum area across Learning, Consulting and Apprenticeships to deliver high quality outcomes for learners and employers.

This will involve a deep understanding about what our learners and their employers want and need.


In meeting these needs, the Content Writer will understand customer needs, create business cases recommend learning propositions and where appropriate professional qualification inclusion.

They will develop learning with up-to-date, industry content and that are structured to empower learners. This will involve embracing digital and blended learning to improve the learner experience resulting in high level achievement. The Content Writer will work closely with the delivery team to implement their strategic intent in the curriculum area. They will launch these learning propositions into market, working with stakeholders within Partnership, Sales and Operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Interpreting requirements of the apprenticeship standards, qualifications and employer needs to develop curriculum plans, resources, and documentation for delivery by a range of methods.
  • Jointly responsible for the development of new programmes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to include planning, creation and implementation of curriculum and learning resources.
  • The identification and utilisation of new and innovative approaches to delivery and learning.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to identify and embed additionality and added value to our programmes.
  • Be able to create expert curriculum development and reaching and learning resources to ensure our staff have the highest quality resources to deliver an effective quality of education.
  • Develop, edit and coordinate the writing of qualifications & learning resources.
  • Create detailed plans and resources for education programmes accompanied by curriculum links.
  • Writing, editing, and proofing educational materials.
  • Building and maintaining high levels of quality and standards throughout the content produced.
  • Promotion and embedding of health & safety, British Values, Wellbeing, Prevent and Equality & Diversity in the development of programmes.
  • Complete relevant documentation, forms, and other administrative tasks relevant to the role, liaise with other support services to ensure compliance with Key Stakeholders regulations and any changes to paperwork.
  • Ensure personal knowledge and development of sector is up to date at all times.
  • Ensure at all times compliance with all ESFA and OFSTED requirements.
  • Maintain a positive and motivated approach to all aspects of your role at all times and display professionalism to all parties.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and communication is adhered to with line manager at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date CPD record by attending appropriate standardisation meetings.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested as part of your employment.
  • To ensure their programmes utilise agreed learning methodologies and technologies.

  • Curriculum strategy to define and communicate a vision for the curriculum area.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, including identifying and resolving the root cause of problems.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and commercial awareness partnered with a customer mindset.
  • Experience in learning design and teaching or coaching learners

You will receive:
