Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Data Protection and Cyber Security Manager for our client, a prestigious firm based in London. Reporting directly to the Director of Risk, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing the firm's data protection compliance, privacy, and cyber security initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Director of Risk to develop the firm's information security and privacy strategy.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts for the firm's data protection compliance programme to ensure alignment with current laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
• Liaise with data protection experts in the firm's international offices to ensure global compliance standards.
• Stay abreast of developments in data protection laws and regulations, providing timely updates to the Director of Risk.
• Provide expert advice and input on projects from a data protection compliance perspective.
• Work closely with IT and IT Security teams to assess cyber and information security risks, and implement appropriate awareness and training programmes.
• Conduct comprehensive data protection compliance assessments, including privacy impact assessments for new and existing data processing activities.

Requirements:

• 4+ PQE E&W qualified
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Proven experience in developing and managing data protection compliance programmes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Minimum of 2 days per week working from the London office.
