    Location: Victory House, Brighton

    Permanent contract

    Salary range: £80k+ Dependant on experience

    The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and effective management of BG IT Services ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.

    How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Be responsible for end-to-end IT Service for BG.
  • Be responsible for all Major Incidents across BG including the root cause remediation.
  • Design, implement and maintain comprehensive incident response plans to minimise downtime and ensure timely restoration of critical IT services.
  • Provide expert guidance during major incidents coordinating cross functional teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Define the Service Strategy for BG.
  • Manage all Service controls including Alerting, monitoring and Disaster Recovery of key IT services.
  • Create, define, and report on Critical Customer journeys aligned to Operational Resilience.
  • Build a Service culture across BG Tech team.
  • Build Service Reviews across internal and external IT teams to ensure that IT Service outcomes align to Business strategy and are fit for purpose.
  • Develop and implement IT service management strategies and policies.
  • Monitor and Optimise IT service performance for BG.
  • Develop and implement regular performance reports and metrics.
  • Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Experience of leading or materially contributing to IT Strategy, IT Project delivery and technology architectures.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT solutions on time and within budget.
  • In-depth understanding of IT service management frameworks, processes, and methodologies
  • Proven experience in business continuity and management
  • In-depth knowledge of software knowledge, in-life cycle, IT infrastructure and emerging technologies.
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing high performance teams.
  • Skilled communicator and report writing with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Experience of financial services regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes
  • Experience of working at senior levels and able to present, influence and to advise senior management including boards.
  • Proven track record in applying good judgement based on business information and assessment frameworks in order to determine the degree of business and regulatory risk posed by actions and issues within the business.
