Our Edinburgh based client have created a new, permanent, Digital Design Engineer (FPGA) to develop innovative hardware systems for our clients products.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of digital logic circuits using FPGAs. Being the go-to person for all aspects of FPGA and digital design.
Designing and implementing complex digital circuits using hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL.
Translating system requirements into efficient and performance optimized FPGA implementations.
Developing and utilising test benches for comprehensive verification of implemented digital logic.
Integrating FPGA designs with other hardware and software components.
Maintaining and documenting design specifications, schematics, and test plans.
Staying up to date with the latest FPGA/digital design technologies and tools.

Are educated to at least Bachelor's degree standard in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Have significant experience in FPGA design and implementation.
Have a solid understanding of digital logic design principles, combinational and sequential circuits, and state machines.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL).
Familiarity with signal processing and digital communication algorithms.
Experience of working in a data communications or Consumer Electronics industry.
