JOB SUMMARY

Nature of Work


Plans and/or controls inventory of finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand.

Analyses inventory levels, inventory positioning, and planned production and sales forecasts. Develops and maintains inputs to inventory system. Coordinates with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.


Level of Work
Responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Flow of materials in and out of stores with the use of local MRP system (including the Issue of parts and material to Work Orders/Sales Orders.
  • Ensures adequate stock levels are maintained and controlled via Physical inventory accounting & reporting through Cycle Counting.
  • Management of excess stock in line with Accounts procedures and maintaining stock accuracy.
  • Record retention & contribution to development of procedures.
  • Daily Management of Kanban items
  • Implementing Lean initiatives across site, as part of team
  • Support of following warehouse activities:
  • Packing of goods if required to company procedures to all internal external customers.
  • Inspection of incoming goods to current Company specifications and standards
  • Unloading and loading of goods using automated lifting equipment
  • Ordering and maintaining of all packaging materials
  • Any other reasonable duties

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Related Experience

Subject Field

Certification(s) / License(s)
Minimum of GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English

  • Experience of distribution of parcels and packages of varying weight and size to various locations to and from the stores and around the site.
  • They should also have an understanding of Goods receiving and Data entry systems.
  • Understanding of the use of MRP computer systems.
  • Able to work safely and diligently unaccompanied, and as part of a team.

Certification(s) / License(s)

  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment
  • Manufacturing background
  • Understanding of general aviation standards and principals
  • Hold an uptodate fork truck license.
