Management Accountant
Location - Blackpool
Salary - £32,000 DOE
Simpson Judge are working with a rapidly expanding firm who specialises in energy consultation, with offices based in Blackpool.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain monthly management accounts
  • Update forecasts for businesses in line with business performance
  • Ensure that debtors are paid in a timely manner.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Management of the finance processes across the property division
  • Production of Annual budgets in association with department heads.
  • Coordinate with HMRC as required
  • Maintain the chart of accounts.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Support department heads as required
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Provide for a system of management cost reports.
  • Provide financial analysis as needed, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Experience/Skills required:

  • 12 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end close procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
