    Description

    Role: Technical Product Manager - (electronic environmental monitoring devices)

    Salary: up to £50k dependent on experience.

    Location: Bedfordshire

    As a Technical Product Manager, you will be the market expert for our environmental monitoring electronic systems.

    Your expertise will contribute to the implementation of strategy and solutions for environmental monitoring devices in our international company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Market Definition Size, Segmentation, Channel Mapping and Customer Grouping
    • End User Research defining user applications
    • Defining New Product requirements and establishing Product Roadmap
    • End User Research and feeding customer requirements into Product Specification
    • Monitoring technology developments and attending Standards Committees
    • Support other managers with market research activities
    • Analyse potential strategic partner relationships for product lines.
    • Develop and maintain information on competitive offerings
    • Support the development of product & price offers though competitive data gathering and analysis
    • Evaluate all market, channel, end user and technology needs and translate into prioritised product roadmap for the category including technical and financial requirements
    • Identify and carry out full competitive analysis of our target markets
    • Product Life Cycle (Cradle to Grave) management of portfolio:
    1. Develop and implement product launch plans that fully engage the sales teams and motivate them to achieve product revenue goals
    2. Ensure all day to day issues are managed on existing products
    3. Key contact with selling unit teams with regards to product development, existing products and product launches.
    4. Work with ISMs/ASMs to support and liaise with distributors with regards to products
    5. Product life cycle management
    • Travel to other sites within the group will be required.

    Education/Experience Required:

    • Similar marketing experience working in a technical environment preferably in the instrumentation, telecoms or I.T. sectors.
    • Experience in conducting market analysis, customer research and presenting results and conclusions
    • Working with end customers in either a sales or marketing role in a technical industry
    • Willingness to travel and work in a European team of professionals.
    • Demonstrated ability of working within a Quality Management environment.
