    Job Title: Construction & Plant Tutor/ Assessor

    Location: Covering South Midlands (Oxfordshire & Cambridgeshire)

    Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + travel expenses & overnight stays if required

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Assessor. You'll be reporting to the Construction Operations Manage and play a pivotal role in coaching and assessing learners through level 2 construction qualifications, specifically across their new skills bootcamp contracts.

    Your primary focus will be to ensure that all assessment, learning, training, and testing activities meet the needs of the learners and employers, in compliance with both external and internal audit requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct inductions, reviews, action planning, observations, and assessments for learners enrolled in Level 2 Construction Operations and Level 2 Certificate in Plant Operations, within their working environments.
    • Provide comprehensive teaching, learning, guidance, and mentoring support to learners, including the integration of Maths and English skills.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation and records related to learner training, progress, and achievement.
    • Stay updated with developments in assessment methods and the specific occupational area.
    • Inform learners of their progress and ensure their evidence meets qualification standards.
    • Identify and address specific training needs to facilitate learner progression.
    • Offer ongoing information, advice, and guidance to learners.
    • Proactively engage with employers, keeping them updated on learners' progress.
    • Embed safeguarding, British values, prevent awareness, equality and diversity, and health and safety principles into learner programs.
    • Maintain assessment standards in accordance with TDLB D32/D33/A1/,TAQA, Standard 9.
    • Provide tailored support and guidance to learners, especially those with additional learning or social needs.
    • Accurately complete learner Health and Safety documentation and report any issues.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Support and uphold the quality assurance process for assessment, training, and verification, aligning with policies and Awarding Body procedures.
    • Contribute to maintaining delivery, practical, and knowledge-based skills, recording provided occupational training.
    • Demonstrate commitment to continuous personal and organizational improvement.
    • Assist in marketing activities to expand the company's portfolio.
    • Adhere to Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) policies and procedures.
    • Manage caseloads effectively to maintain viability.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • Experience using e-portfolios (Desirable)
    • Occupational competence as per Awarding Body guidelines
    • Experience delivering NVQ
    • Construction experience: 2 years (required)
    • Assessing experience: 1 year (required)

    Qualifications:

    • D32 / 33 or A1 units
    • Recognised Teaching Qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE - Desirable)
    • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English
    • Relevant qualifications in subject area(s)
