    Description

    The FPGA Design Engineer will:

    • Contribute to and lead the design, development, integration and testing as required by the project within the knowledge and experience required.
    • Produce high-quality supporting design documentation.
    • Contribute expertise across a broad range of design activities.
    • Develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
    • The FPGA Design Engineer will be responsible to:
    • Undertake engineering design and development activities in time, on budget and in quality.
    • Provide timely and accurate estimates of effort to completion, assessing complexity, and identifying risks.
    • Engage with other technical experts.
    • Provide technical support to the Technical Lead (e.g., risk management, input to customer meetings).
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with each of the stakeholder, within or outside the project team.
    • Comply with the client's policies effectively.
    • Comply with the the client's design and development processes as directed by the Technical Lead of the project.
    • Apply industry best practice for source code control, build, test/troubleshooting (debugging/fault finding), and distribution. The FPGA Design Engineer has more than 10-year of experience in the DSP algorithm development and FPGA system design & development for projects using VHDL, preferably on Xilinx Zynq. Essential Skills:
    • Expertise in DSP algorithm modelling for RF systems
    • Expertise in FPGA design for DSP
    • Expertise of FPGA design to control ADC/DAC
    • Expertise in interfacing FPGA with high-speed digital data
    • Expertise of Embedded C/C++
    • Desirable Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of radio systems
    • Knowledge of one or more defence disciplines, such as Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Radar, or GNSS.
    • Experience of Python in the use of test scripts and/or post-data processing
    • OpenCPI open-source software framework
