    Job Title: Head of Machine Learning / AI

    Salary: Up to £160,000.

    Role Overview: We're seeking an innovative Head of Machine Learning / AI to lead the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning into our drug discovery processes. As a key player, you'll spearhead strategy, implement AI technologies, and drive transformative change.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the formulation and execution of our AI and machine learning strategy for drug discovery.
    • Build and lead a top-tier team of machine learning engineers and data scientists.
    • Collaborate across departments to identify AI-driven solutions to enhance drug discovery.
    • Develop and deploy AI algorithms and models, including those for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
    • Oversee the creation of computational models for predictive analytics, target identification, and drug candidate optimization.
    • Stay updated on AI advancements and their applications in biotech.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the machine learning team.

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related field.
    • Proven leadership in AI and machine learning, preferably in biotech or pharma.
    • Expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms, including LLMs and NLPs.
    • Knowledge and experience in modern software development tools, techniques, and processes, such as version control, CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps.
    • Experience with cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
    • Strong understanding of cloud computing environments, particularly AWS.
