The Purpose (of the role):


We are looking for a challenger mindset to step change trade marketing in the Sales channel and champion customer centricity in activations across a number of our key Sales accounts.

We need you to be able to engage both customers and consumers to create game changing trade initiatives which drive sales and brand objectives.

The role:

  • Lead strategic direction to develop overall gotomarket strategy for the assigned Channel
  • Work closely with the Sales Team(s), Channel Executives, Brand Content Deployment, Category Management and other company departments to ensure a coordinated approach to trade marketing
  • Engage with Sales and Merchandising agencies to ensure the effective and efficient use of Trade Marketing resources
  • Drive Trade Marketing 52 week calendar execution at Store/POC/Head Office level
  • Develop a thorough understanding of channel opportunities and needs by being in the Market place and engaging with internal stakeholders/insights
  • Develop 1 year game plan for channel including shopper facing initiatives aligned to the BU Game Plan
  • Ensure all promotions reflect Brand Values/ Visual Brand Identity/ Core Creative Idea and strategies while aligning with channel goals
  • Manage and track ongoing expenditure of activation budget and ensure correct spend per activation and Brand.
  • Adhere to Critical Path Management process for all brand activations (on time delivery).

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of projects
  • Must build relationships by working with different stakeholders to ensure aligned objectives & outcomes
  • Deep understanding of what drives customer & shopper behaviour
  • Ability to build insightful/impactful plans to address sales & brand opportunities in all channels
  • Ability to drive change and innovation on trade marketing initiatives to ensure it drives the business toward growth and keeps costs in control
