Conventional/Manual Turner

Pay:
£13.00 per hour (Limited)

Location:
Essex

Duration: 6 month contract

Overview:

Specialist manufacturing client based in Harlow, Essex is currently seeking a Conventional/Manual Turner to start working with them on a contract basis.

Requirements:

Time-served or apprenticed-trained in the mechanical / machining industry.
Must be familiar with using Lathes.
Experience in working with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminium is also a basic requirement.
You must be able to easily interpret Engineering Drawings and machine parts from those.
Must be reliable and willing to work early and late hours where necessary.

Responsibilities:

Making "one-offs" and parts required for build of production machinery in the toolroom for the production team
Manual / Hand Turning and Drilling of various components and pieces of equipment.
Make bespoke alterations to prototypes as and when necessary.
Regular changing and maintenance of drill bits and heads.
Regular communication with the design office if drawings need alteration.
