An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Assistant (Mobile) to join an existing Team within the Kent Geographical Services department at Sittingbourne Police Station.
The Property Assistant (Mobile) will be responsible for the collection and delivery requests of special property exhibits both inside and outside of Kent, therefore a clean, current driving licence is essential.
Following appointment, you will be required to pass an in-house Police Permit Tests for diesel cars, petrol cars, vans and 4x4 as applicable.
The Property Assistant (Mobile) must be organised, able to work under pressure and have a practical approach to problem solving.
Good organisational skills together with managing and prioritising their own workload whilst handling a steady flow of interruptions is also desirable.
You will be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised at times and will also work well within a small team.The post does involve lifting of property; therefore, you will need to ensure you are able to perform these duties using safe manual handling practices and be able to risk manage situations.
You will also need to have a good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures. Good communication skills would also be essential to the role.The Property Assistant (Mobile) will hold a GCSE or equivalent in English and a basic level of numeracy.
The post holder will also be able to rapidly gain a good working knowledge of Property and both Force and National related Policy, working practices and procedures.
Competent information technology skills, including basic Microsoft Excel and Outlook packages are required.GCSE or equivalent in Math's and English
Evidence of good communication skills
Health and safety experience
Have a full and clean UK Driving License
Evidence manual handling ability
Other desirable skills and experience to include:
Knowledge of Property
Use of information technology including Microsoft packages
Evidence of prioritizing your workload
