Role - Procurement Manager

Salary - £48,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type - Permanent, Full time

Location - Buckinghamshire
My client is looking to take on a permanent Procurement Manager in their team near the Buckinghamshire area.
Purchasing - Communication & Negotiation - Cost Effective Strategies - Supply Chain - Engineering - CIPS - Procurement - Management

The Procurement Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

Ideally 5 years previous experience in a similar Procurement Management position
Have previously worked in a manufacturing environment
Have good attention to detail and be ablet to work well under pressure
Experience reporting to Senior Management and providing business analysis insights
Excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to work with a variety of people at varying levels
A good level of engineering knowledge; be able to understand NPD and PI activity
Be adaptable to changing business needs and be able to devise and implement new strategies
Experience in stock control and management

The Procurement Manager role will involve:

Managing the Procurement department
Defining and developing an effective procurement strategy and implementation
Devising and agreeing cost down projects to achieve overall business targets
Overall management of the supply chain and procurement teams; setting goals and KPI's to achieve team targets
Overall responsibility for the working capital on all components in the UK and Ireland
Taking charge of strategic and category procurement for all materials, analyse current prices, and manage working capital effectively
Providing management with regular updates on overall spending
