We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Mathematics and Statistics and Department of Physics and Astronomy to use your financial experience to provide essential financial and purchasing support to the two departments.

Working alongside other members of the Operations team you will deal with routine finance enquiries from staff and students.

You will work with the University's financial system, SAP, to process a wide range of financial transactions, including requisitioning goods, Goods Received maintenance, processing expenses and purchasing card statements.


You will be part of a large Professional Services team that supports the School of Mathematics and Statistics and Department of Physics and Astronomy.

The two departments have a joint professional administrative support service, which provides dedicated support in all areas of learning and teaching, student experience, operations and health and safety to staff, students and visitors.

You will have detailed knowledge of financial processes which have been developed through experience working in a financial role.

Excellent customer service and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

You should be able to work flexibly and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and provide a timely and efficient service.

You will be IT literate, whilst experience of working within Higher Education and using University software packages would be advantageous.
