    What will you be contributing to?

    You will become part of Cloetta's Global Finance organisation. This centralised organization is divided in a General ledger, an Accounts Payable and an Accounts Receivable team. The General ledger Shared Service Center is located in the Netherlands and the Accounts Payable Shared Service Center in Slovakia. The Accounts Receivable team members work closely connected to the business in the regions and are located in Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and UK. They report to the Global Finance Manager of Accounts Receivable & Payable

    The Accounts Receivable Accountant for the UK & Ireland will work closely with Customer Services (located in the UK) and Sales.

    As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will ensure that all routines and procedures of the accounts receivable process are handled carefully, efficient and in time. You will represent Cloetta and work with a mindset of wanting to develop and comply with the implemented routines and challenge the way of work with the values of Cloetta in mind.

    Your responsibility will be primary accounts receivable management for Cloetta UK and Ireland and for the booking of bank statements and collection actions. Additionally, you are responsible for period end accounts receivable & cash routines. Furthermore, you will support development initiatives and participate in central projects and prepare analyses and reports.

    You will do so by mainly focusing on ensuring that accounts receivable routines are handled according to standards. You will handle everyday customer invoice routines, registration of payments and coordination of disputes to assure collection of receivables. You will also support in credit reports of customers for credit limit decisions and manage order releases together with Sales, Customer Service and Business Control. You will follow up and solve issues in the Accounts Receivable area and handle customer queries related to invoices together with Customer Service.

    You are responsible for the bank statement handling on the daily bases to secure up to date and accurate bank account bookings.

    You will prepare period end reconciliations of Accounts Receivable and Cash in due time ensuring the sub ledgers are accurate with no risk of doubtful amounts included regarding the receivable part (Period/Quarter/Annual). You will support in reporting and preparing commentaries on Accounts Receivable area.

    You will process and develop routines of payment collection and reminders, follow up of potential bad debt and analyze customer payment behavior. You will ensure a good level of internal control is in place in AR and cash processes in relation to Cloetta Group policies and local legal requirements.

    Challenge and be proactive in developing the processes. Identify and propose possible improvements and participate the analyzing and implementation of initiatives.

    You will also be responsible for the running of the day to day payroll function, to take specific responsibility for the Payroll for UK and Ireland.

    Duties include:

    Running the Weekly and Monthly payroll for all staff across the UK and Ireland, respond to and solve any payroll related queries. Updating payroll records and maintain all starters and leavers in the payroll system.

    Make sure all necessary obligations with regards to HMRC are met on an annual basis (P11ds, PAYE settlement agreement, P60s)

    Run monthly expenses for merchandisers, making sure they are paid correctly and on time

    Administration of both pension schemes, making sure the payments are paid over before the deadline

    Administration of company credit cards and making sure we have all receipts in to reconcile.

    You have acquired the following (Accounts Receivable Manager):


    • Minimum 2-5 years working experience in relevant accounting


    • Good understanding of ERP (preferable M3) system and Microsoft Office


    • Basic understanding of accounting


    • Knowledge of tax (VAT) and legal rules related to customer invoices


    • Fluent written and spoken English

    This position is available immediately for 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday, based in the UK office in Fareham.
