The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment are currently partnering a unique business in central Edinburgh in the recruitment of a permanent Finance Administrator.

The role is based in the city centre office one day per week and working remotely the rest of the time.

The role is a newly created position that is a result of substantial growth over the past few years. You will report directly into the head of finance and will work within a friendly and supportive team.


The Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance team generally and assist in the efficient and smooth running of finance function.

You will predominantly be working on the receivables ledger, however you will be given wide and varied tasks to complete.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Assist the credit control function during periods of peak work load & holiday periods.
Processing client invoices and ensuring that they are posted onto the AR ledger.
Maintenance of complex client expenses and reconciliation of these against receipts.
Allocation of monies received and ensuring that remittances match payments.
Reconciliation of supplier statements and issuing copy invoices where required.
General adhoc accounting duties as and when required.


The Requirements

We are seeking a positive and proactive individual who has a minimum of 12 months of working within a busy and fast paced finance team (in a similar role and within the UK).

Applicants do not need to be studying towards a formal accounting qualification, although it would be beneficial (AAT or equivalent).

Our client has a high number of transactions passing through it so the successful applicant must have superb attention to detail as well as being highly organised and methodical.

We are also expecting the successful applicant to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.


COVID19 statement

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office.

If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
