Are you passionate about supporting young people? If so, Community Youth Services needs you

Based in Sheffield, a vibrant city undergoing wide regeneration, this is an exciting time to join Community Youth Services, which brings together different youth engagement services to meet the needs and aspirations of our young residents.

Rooted in the ethics and values of high-quality youth work, we deliver community-based youth provision that is safe, creative and ambitious, with young people's voice at the heart of it, whichever part of the service they engage with.

In partnership with local voluntary youth organisations and statutory services, we are committed to providing an outstanding offer outside of formal education to enable our young residents to thrive.

With anti-discriminatory practice and inclusion at the core of everything we do, we recognise the barriers and challenges that some young people face and the importance of providing contextual safeguarding and safe spaces to establish positive relationships with trusted adults.

From our Universal youth offer and youth voice and influence team, to IAG and early intervention and targeted prevention work, we utilise a wide variety of engagement methods, including youth clubs, projects and street-based work, to effect positive change and add social value to the personal and social growth and development of young Sheffielders.

We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.
