    The Role

    We are in search of an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join a growing team. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the purchase and sales ledger functions are run efficiently, transactions are accurately recorded and any queries are resolved quickly. As the Finance Assistant you will be reporting into the Head of Finance.

    You must be hands on, adaptable to change and capable of coping with high volumes in a growing business.

    Responsibilities

  • Receiving, downloading and posting invoices into the accounting software.
  • Matching/coding invoices to the PO system
  • Coding invoices to the correct classification
  • Obtaining appropriate authorisation from the relevant manager/head of department.
  • Manage and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Prepare key supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Handle supplier queries.
  • Processing and recharging of expenses.
  • Assist the management accountant/Head of Finance with period end queries as required.
  • Generating weekly payment runs in accordance with payment terms
  • Credit control and managing income
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Reconciling sales
  • Weekly ledger reviews
  • Chasing up receipts/invoices
  • Ad hoc duties as required

    Required Experience

  • Minimum AAT Level 3 qualified
  • Previous Finance Assistant experience (at least 2 years experience within a similar role)
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record as an individual who is able to deliver effectively and on time.
  • Proven experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously from start to finish.
  • Hospitality experience would be advantageous
