Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required


We are currently seeking a committed and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to start ASAP in one of our client schools in Woodford Green, East London.


The role is full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), and you will be supporting pupils in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.


The school is a special educational needs school, where all pupils have additional needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan.


You would be supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties or profound and multiple learning difficulties in the areas of cognition and learning and communication and interaction.


The role is an out of class role, to support these pupils with additional needs, particularly settling in new SEND children joining the school for the new calendar year.

You will need to have lots of experience in SEND and be able to run effective interventions.

You will also need a good understanding of how to adapt teachers lesson plans and create resources to help support the children.

The salary range is between £100 and £120 per day.

The role is as rewarding as it is challenging.

You will be fully supported by a highly skilled, friendly staff team however you will be expected to work on your own initiative throughout the day to support the pupils in the best way you can.

  • Working closely with the staff team to identify any issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions
  • Running interventions, leading small group classes and ensuring progress
  • Training and directing other Teaching Assistants to support the students in the best possible way
  • Assisting with the assessment and reporting of students' academic achievements and behaviour
