We are looking for a Patient Pathway Co-Ordinator to join our busy Dermatology department at Basildon Hospital on a part time basis.


You will ensure the effective management of outpatient waiting times, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting the Outpatient waiting time targets including 18 week RTT targets and ensure staff provide high quality customer service to all our patients and visitors.


You role will be to ensure timely appointments for patients who are on medication and making amendments to appointment slot types and converting clinics to cope with the increased demand of Dermatology referrals.


You role will involve planning, developing, coordinating and implementing solutions to improve waiting times, clear backlogs, review patient pathways and reduce Hospital cancellations and DNA rates, developing and preparing accurate reports to enable forward planning.

You will help reduce 18 Week breaches.

Closely monitor the Cancer and 18 Week and validate weekly reports, ensure appointments for patients on 31/62 day pathways are booked within guidelines and esure Fast Track capacity is available working towards a 7 day booking target.


You will organise additional capacity as required using meticulous planning to ensure that all elements of service provision are considered and organised to enable capacity to be maximised.

This will require a structured approach to ensure that capacity short-falls are identified in advance to enable re-provision in a timely and organised manner across all specialties as required, and also flexibility to respond to changes in circumstances
