About the Role:
We are also looking for a physician associate to work pro-actively as part of the care home team.
The role incorporates reviewing the health of care home residents in order to identify early warning signs that may otherwise lead to deteriorations in health, and managing their long-term conditions.
In addition, the post holder will provide an early response to requests for medical support from care homes.The post holder will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral of care home patients under the supervision of a doctor.
This will be within the levels of your competence and agreed protocols.The post holder will work alongside a Care Co-ordinator for care homes in order to ensure that residents' personalised care and support plans (PCSPs) are reviewed regularly and acted upon.
In both roles you will be able to take advantage of a variety of support offers throughout your career and will be supported by the ICB Physician Associate Workforce Lead who can provide advice and support.
You will also be able to access a variety of courses and education through the fully funded CPD programme as well as being able to access leadership development programmes such as the CARE Programme.
The CARE Programme is a learning and development programme that empowers primary care colleagues to play a key role in their PCN and to shape services based on population health needs and to strengthen their leadership.

- Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Physician Associate from an accredited UK University
- Bachelor Degree in Life Science / Biomedical / Nursing or Allied Health Science
- Member of Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)
- Valid national certification and recertification every six years stipulated by PAMVR
