    Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service development in Cheshire and Merseyside Region?

    The Specialist Community Forensic Team has recently been commissioned to work with key stakeholders and partner agencies to enhance community provision for people who are autistic or who have a learning disability.

    To support the daily operations of the service, the team are looking for a secretary/administrator who is enthusiastic and person centred. They will provide a high quality service that is innovative in practise.

    Main duties of the job

    The Specialist Community Forensic Team is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology and Psychiatry.

    As the secretary/administrator you will provide a comprehensive, efficient and modern administrative/secretarial service within the Service.

    The working hours for this post will be Monday to Friday between 0900hrs – 1700hrs, based in the team's office at Hollins Park.

    Provide secretarial and administrative support to the department using various software applications and systems used with Merseycare trust.

    In addition, as the secretary/administrator for the service you will receive regular supervision to support you with your work. Your professional development is important and is expected to lead to enhancements in client experience and service delivery.

    Qualifications

    Essential criteria

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C or above – or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience.
  • RSA/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (55 wpm typing)
  • Desirable criteria

  • ECDL qualification
  • Knowledge

    Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements
  • Knowledge of office system
  • Experience

  • Some experience of working as a Junior Secretary or Administration Assistant
