Description

Are you experienced in strategic procurement? Do you enjoy managing suppliers and getting heavily involved in negotiations?

A business in Rugby is on the lookout for a Buyer to join their Procurement Team. This role has come about as a result of growth. You'll have the option to work from home 2 days week (3 in office).

Day to day you will be responsible for maintain and improving supplier and product quality, identifying cost efficiency opportunities and striving for continuous improvement

This also includes:

Sourcing materials and components
Negotiating prices and contractual terms
Supplier onboarding and management
Tendering existing business

You'll need to be inquisitive and proactive on a daily basis. Use your initiative and take accountability for your categories and supplier activity.

Having strong communication skills and being able to work collaboratively with other internal teams will be key. Ideally you will have experience using SAP and be CIPS qualified, but this is not essential.
