    About the role

    We are currently looking for a Senior Technician to join our busy team in Essex. We need technical experts who will help drive the team to deliver an unrivalled customer experience for both internal and external customers. Ensuring health, safety, quality, and performance are at the heart of what we do is a large part of this role.

    Being part of the leadership team means that we will be looking on you to train, coach and drive performance, explore areas of innovation, work closely with stake holders and actively support an open and inclusive culture.

    You'll work as part of a team who are committed to making sure our customers can turn on the tap on at any time of the day and night to access high quality water, our network operations team deliver customer facing support across Essex, the teams role is face paced, dynamic and varied, we could be supporting a customer directly one moment and shutting a water main to isolate a burst the next. As part of this team, you'll join a 24 hour/seven-day standby rota.

    This role requires a DBS check to be carried out on the successful candidate.

    Please note – This role has been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.

    Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

    Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
