Job Description 1

Being the victim of a crime can be a traumatic and frightening experience.

Not only can victims suffer a tremendous sense of loss or injury, but the pathway through the Criminal Justice system can be confusing, emotive, scary and lonely place to be.

This can be equally as difficult for witnesses to crimes.

As a Witness Care Coordinator, you will lead and support the Witness Care Officers, ensuring they have everything in place to be able to make a real difference to victims and witnesses across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

You will lead a team within the Unit, focusing on staff welfare and performance, monitoring workloads and providing feedback against set objectives.

You will also work closely with internal and external partners, ensuring that inter-agency processes are working effectively to ensure the highest level of service is afforded to victims and witnesses.

You will also maintain a small caseload of complex or sensitive cases.

If you are a passionate and supportive person, looking to make a real difference to victims and witnesses, this is an excellent opportunity for you to join a caring and close-knit team and to use your skills to lead them to success.
