RIALTO is looking for a founding engineer to join the team.

The engineer will join in the first innings of an ambitious journey to build the category-defining company in art, antiques and interiors.

About RIALTO

RIALTO is the Christie's of the Creator Age.

Our first product is the definitive companion app for a new breed of antique dealer. These dealers are young, grew up on the internet and hungry for new technology.

Yet, they are deeply underserved from a technology point of view and can only spend a fraction of the day doing what they actually love – finding great objects and presenting themselves, their objects and their stories to the world.

These dealers have the following of an auction house – now our job is to give them the superpowers of one.

RIALTO is also a marketplace of buyers and sellers focused squarely on our vertical. Unlike existing marketplaces, there's no anonymisation, no commoditisation, and no intimidating search bars. Instead, the stuff us curious humans are hard-wired to love – discovery, story-telling, surprise – are at the core.

RIALTO has raised funding from some fascinating angel investors and funds like Notion and Sequoia.

Our tech stack choices to date have been Typescript, React, NextJS and Ruby on Rails.

About you

You have a passion for great design, whether in interiors or in some other area.
You are hungry and curious about new technology.
You have demonstrable experience crafting really great customer experiences.

You are based in London (we will work remotely a lot, but we value the ability to get together quickly).

You have an appetite for a high risk, high reward chapter of your career.
