Previous pharmacy experience would be advantageous, however full training and support will be provided. Applicants should demonstrate a desire to contribute towards developing our services. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and you willneed to be able to work effectively with the existing team within the Pharmacy Department.
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Reception duties including answering the phones in a prompt and courteous manner whilst providing cover to the reception including receiving prescriptions, checking payment exemptions and taking payment where appropriate (County Stafford only
- Booking in the prescriptions via the Tracking system
- Ensuring the timely return of completed prescriptions back to the wards to support patient discharge
- Undertake stock ordering and supply for wards
- Maintaining stock storage and levels
- Ensure that the dispensary has adequate supplies of medicine bottles, bags spoons, measures and syringes and ordering these on a when required basis
- Ensure equipment used in the dispensary is clean and ready for everyday use
