We are seeking two EPR Design Leads to play a senior, strategic role in the implementation of the new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
The post holder will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of various workstreams, to ensure appropriate planning and support is in place to enable successful service transition to the new EPR.
The post holder will have excellent analytical, organization, communication and leadership skills evidenced by the ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Whilst the role offers flexibility with on-site and home working, there is a requirement to attend site regularly to comply with the Trusts Home Working Policy.
- Have oversight of a number of workstreams in developing processes and system design and managing patient/client risk
- Ensure Workstream activities are coordinated and aligned, identifying interdependencies
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Trust policies relating to the safe and accurate implementation of the new EPR
- Have oversight and responsibility for analysis across pathways and functional areas
- Understand workstreams' current state workflows and assist with benefits identification
- Facilitate agreement on future state workflows and design using Subject Matter Experts within the Trust
- Review the standard configuration model and any required localisation
- Be familiar with and interpret National standards and requirements for system design
- Develop excellent working relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Recommend changes to existing pathways and processes to remove waste, tailoring the design of the system to fit service needs
- Ensure systems and processes of the new EPR are embedded
- Develop a plan for the delivery of the role's responsibilities, identifying interdependencies, managing risks, modelling potential impacts on the wider organisation, determining resource requirements
- Build relationships with other UK Cerner Trusts and NHS Digital to share knowledge on lessons learned (blueprints), innovative ideas and issues resolution
- Contribute to plans for digital service provision and long term digital strategy

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 14 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust.
The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project's implementation and the timescales associated with this.
