    This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to contribute at a head of department level to the development and evolution of our company with the finance function.

    Your Role


    As Head of Reporting, Planning and Projects the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the Exolum NWE contract with the Ministry of Defence (MOD),including managing the processes for regular financial reporting against the MoD budget, for the annual true up of MoD contract payments and for setting and agreeing any future MoD forecasts and ensuring the development of our processes, procedures and systems.


    The key responsibilitiesfor the Head of Reporting, Planning and Projects include leading and managing the Reporting, Planning and Projects (including plan to perform - this function covers processes from development of plans (forecast or budget) through to measurement of performance against those plans) function, delivering all Exolum requirements (including short, medium and long term budgets and forecasts and annual strategy cycle) to the required standard and timescales while developing the Reporting, Planning and Projects team, and support the team to ensure that people individually and collectively achieve their potential in delivering business performance; ensure achievable but stretching objectives are set for individuals which are aligned to business goals.

    What we need from You


    We are looking for applicants that are qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with the ability to demonstrate good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and business analysis techniques within a strong commercial finance environment alongside extensive experience of leading a finance team.


    This will be supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to use all Excel for modelling, strong organisation skills and strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
