    About the Role:

    The Technical Director role focuses on professional educational content for MA qualifications and education products. You'll update content for an evergreen CGMA Professional Qualification (PQ) on both an annual and longer development cycle. You will manage the development of technical content for the PQ to combine real world professional application with academic rigour. Ideal candidates will have a background in finance and/or accounting leadership in various industries with a passion for education and continuous improvement of the MA qualification.

    You Will:

    • Understand and manage of the portfolio of professional education products, their role, function, interplay and boundaries.
    • Provide technical decisions and justifications for content inclusion in the CGMA PQ.
    • Monitor the profession and emerging standards and understand their impact on the qualification. Work with the PQ development team to design task and role simulations.
    • Define practitioner regulatory requirements and ensure that these are reflected in the PQ
    • Source and ensure the provision of academic and practice-based resources for PQ content development.
    • Understand, articulate and document main trends and changes within finance pertaining, to activities, tasks, roles, processes and responsibilities.
    • Identify a pipeline of new or updated content for the professional qualification to enable.
    • Lead the Section Committee activities, including review of content, providing updates on changes in professional standards, working on ongoing updates to content specification outlines, and providing expertise on new item type idea generation and development.
    • Articulate pipeline of content in development to ensure coordination with delivery teams.

    You Have:

    • A CGMA or similar professional accounting qualification is required (or relevant Masters degree)
    • Experience in the management accounting profession and an in-depth understanding of the areas within the CGMA PQ
    • Familiarity with a variety of the finance field's concepts and practices.
