A little bit about what we are looking for...


We are happy to offer hybrid working with this role; You will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days per week with the rest being from home, however, please bear in mind we may need you to be in the office more within your probation and training.

It's important to us that you feel fully ready and confident in the role before working from home. Of course, if you'd prefer to be in the office more, then that is completely fine with us too


Your responsibilities...

  • To inspect the housing stock and building works, prepare term contract schedules and specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs on demand and improvement works to a range of buildings.
  • Carry out stock condition surveys.
  • Carry out preand post repairs and void surveys along with compiling the full schedule of works required.
  • To ensure that the properties are maintained and improved to the required standards, within authorised budgets and agreed timescales.
  • Ensure contractors and suppliers perform to specification and contractual terms.
  • Ensure that PA Housing and Cooperative's Health & Safety responsibilities and policies are pursued wherever applicable.
  • Manage insurance claims related to property.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and tender documentation for repairs on demand and minor improvement works ensuring service standards are achieved.
  • Assist in consultations with customers in relation to all planned and cyclical works, and actively participate in the tenant's meetings in order to ensure the delivery of a customer focused service.

  • Educated to HNC or equivalent in building or a construction related discipline or previous experience in a construction maintenance environment
  • Experience of scheduling building / planned maintenance works and contract administration
  • Experience of collating SAP / condition information
  • Experience of communicating with service users, staff and other agencies
