Reporting to the Production Manager, the Facilities Coordinator will perform a variety of general manual labour tasks. You will Follow specific processes and procedures to maintain the buildings, facilities, and grounds. Ensuring the site meets and complies with all Health and Safety standards and regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the exchange of Recyclable and Nonrecyclable containers with the relevant Service Providers including the management of Waste Transfer notes.
  • Undertake minor maintenance tasks as required for example basic "DIY" repairs, such as basic plumbing, damage to walls, replacing skirting boards, resealing joints and regularly check and identify any maintenance requirements.
  • Carry out all ground maintenance, such as lawns and hedges, parking areas.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining action plans and risk assessment, managing service schedules and service records as appropriate, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance and in compliance with the Company's safe working practices.
  • Organise and Supervise Building Repair Contractors such as roofing, plumbing, general repairs etc.
  • Carry out routine regulatory environmental checks such as Legionella, spill kit maintenance.
  • Perform machine cutting fluid condition checks and balance of the system.
  • Coordinate and supervise visits with Cutting fluid suppliers. Also carry out corrective actions and retests based on results.
  • Carry out Routine Lubrication and Greasing of Plant Machinery according to Planned Maintenance Schedules.
  • Assist Maintenance team with routine Machine Servicing in accordance with the Planned Maintenance Schedule and Breakdowns.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in facility coordination/ maintenance preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • A building/joinery qualification or experience would be an advantage.
  • Competent in the use of powered access equipment, electrical tools as required to carry out the task.
  • Certified to operate a forklift truck.
  • Good working knowledge of building regulations and HSE standard is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Task driven individual who can manage conflicting workloads.
  • Ability to work 'autonomously' and use own initiative.
