    As Director of Creative & Marketing, you will work with other storytellers across Google to inform, educate and inspire audiences around the world about our products, research and long-term vision.

    This multifaceted role requires deep strategic thinking, exceptional creative direction, and data-driven decision-making. At Google DeepMind we've built a unique culture and work environment where long-term ambitious research can flourish.

    Our special interdisciplinary team combines the best techniques from deep learning, reinforcement learning and systems neuroscience to build general-purpose learning algorithms.

    We have already made a number of high profile breakthroughs towards building artificial general intelligence and we have all the ingredients in place to make further significant progress over the coming years.

    Leading GDM's creative, marketing and brand function. Helping to define the role this function plays in support of our long-term mission and near-term goals, scoping current and future resources needed, and working with the team to drive continuous improvement in our creative excellence & strategic focus
    Working closely with leaders across GDM and Google to launch world-changing products, technologies and research, including through major announcements and events
    Overseeing the visual identity and evolution of GDM, including through a broad range of content and online channels

    Participate in the GDM marketing and communications leadership group, helping drive our vision and strategy across the global team.

    Continuing to invest in the development and leadership capabilities of the creative and marketing professionals in your team, as the scale of our opportunities and scope of impact grow
    Partnering with your team and other leaders across GDM to set the vision for how the brand will evolve over time as our mission progresses
    Defining campaigns to achieve our goals, and mobilising teams both within and outside the marketing function to deliver this

    Defining strategy and setting important metrics for our existing external platforms, including our website, social media channels, external events and more.

    Adapt marketing approaches to industry trends, ensuring GDM stays ahead of the curve and pushing our thinking on the platforms of the future
    Identifying and coordinating elite external partners & suppliers to help deliver the above, scale our impact and push our strategic, creative & executional excellence
    Experience of leading creative and marketing functions at groundbreaking companies
    Demonstrated track record of developing and executing highly successful, integrated marketing campaigns
    Proven creative innovation, experimentation & evaluation
    Strong management experience, including supporting the development of talented creative professionals and managers
    Track record of collaborative & high-impact partnership with other functions, including product, communications, policy, recruitment, people operations and others
    Track record of continual professional & personal development
