**Summary
**Venture Recruitment Partners are working with an established, well-known business in Fleet.

Our client is looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their high performing finance team in Fleet on a permanent basis.

Hybrid workingis available as well as lots of other perks.

**The Role
**Take full ownership of the following areas

  • Fixed assets
  • Prepayments and other debtors
  • Accruals
  • Preparation of VAT/GST return workings for the UK and overseas entities
  • Payroll related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Tax analysis
  • Review work undertaken by the Accounts Assistant covering areas such as bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist the Group Accountant and Group Financial Controller as required e.g. investigation of analytical review queries during the close, updating finance process documentation
  • Help drive efficiency and quality improvements in the finance department
  • Ad hoc projects

  • Excellent attention to detail, precise and accurate

  • Enthusiastic, positive and reliable
  • A team player prepared to support others in the team as required and to assist with covering absences
  • Proactive to suggest and make improvements to processes and controls
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to work closely with other teams within the business as required, but also the ability to be selfmotivated and work independently
  • Excellent Excel skills, confident analysing volumes of data
