Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer - Durham

My client, an independant consultancy covering geotechnical, geo-environmental, renewables and mining services are on the look out for a Geo-environmental engineer to join their team.

You will join be joining a team of Geotechnical and Environmental Engineers providing a broad range of design and construction management services to clients over a range of market sectors including residential, commercial, industrial development, wastemanagement, mining and minerals extraction.

Requirements:

Applicants are required to have a degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, with or working towards Chartered status.

Full clean UK drivers licence

Flexible and positive attitude towards fieldwork.

Experience working for a UK based environmental consultancy undertaking, scoping and reviewing risk assessments and intrusive ground investigations.

Managerial experience.

You will be required to cover:
Geo
- environmental phase 1 desk studies

Phase 2 Site Investigations

Remediation schemes

Mining risk assessments, geotechnical / environmental investigations.

Logging of soil and rock to BS5930

Provide designs for earthworks, foundations, slopes, retaining walls, ground improvement, waste management and reclamation of derelict land.

Schedule contamination and geotechnical samples.

Undertaking and check detailed geotechnical and environmental design calculations and assessments.

Prepare design specifications, contract documentation, factual and interpretative reports to current design standards.

Site supervision of fieldwork

Preparation of proposals and tender bids

Liaise with clients.

Managerial experience

This is a permanent role.
