    Lead Data Scientist

    London - Hybrid

    £130k - £150k + Equity /Stock

    Morpheus are currently partnered with early Seed Funded startup who are in the AI space for IoT and work with manufacturing, energy, utilities, smart buildings and more. They are looking to add an expert Lead Data Scientist to continue growth.

    As Lead Data Scientist, you'll oversee Expert Services (ES) and R&D. Collaborating closely with the Lead Product Manager and Architect, you'll drive research into product features, prototype algorithms, and engage with customers for successful product adoption. You'll lead the ES and R&D team, aligning with the broader technical agenda, and contribute to grant applications for research programs.

    Requirements

    • Experience in DL and ML projects, preferably in manufacturing, healthcare, or sustainability.
    • Proficiency in federated learning, deep learning frameworks, and classical machine learning.
    • Strong understanding of distributed computing, data science development cycle, and scientific method.
    • Domain knowledge in IoT devices and edge computing.
    • Engage with customers to define suitable data science strategies for their business cases.
    • Leadership experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity.
    • Desirable skills include AWS/GCP/Azure experience, SQL proficiency, and Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
    • 3+ years of work-related experience in DL and ML projects involving tabular, image, and natural language processing (or equivalent experience).
    • Expertise with federated learning at scale using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow.
    • Knowledge of distributed computing and ML.
    • Significant exposure to embedded AI
    • Some DevOps/ MLOps experience

    You will have good (2.1 or above) science, maths or engineering degree, or above (MSc/PhD). You must have a solid understanding of the scientific process and standards, hypothesis formulation, and be comfortable with academic literature
