The South East Engineering, Design, Growth and Enterprise (EDGE) Hub is a Universitywide strategic initiative which fosters strong links with industry and creates pipelines of employable graduates to meet regional skills gaps and strengthen the regional economy.
The EDGE Hub Administrator is responsible for leading on the provision of administration to support the work of the South East EDGE Hub.
As an Administrative Assistant, the role will involve on day to day (but not inclusive):
Supporting the wider team by taking responsibility for specific areas of administration within the Southeast EDGE Hub
Assisting with EDGE Hub projects daytoday administration processes and systems to facilitate the smooth running of the EDGE hub, providing the interface between the EDGE hub and the faculty.
Work independently and proactively carrying out administrative tasks, supporting with various small project and coordinating workstreams to contribute to aims and objectives of the EDGE Hub.
What are we looking for?
Experience in a similar role would be welcomed illustrating the managing of competing demands and priorities
Digital literacy, for example European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or proven experience in the use of MS Office Packages (MS Word and MS Excel in particular)
Recent experience of working or studying within Higher Education
Experience of working across departments and fostering collaboration
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to liaise effectively with all contacts, and a professional attitude to work
Communication skills experience of writing reports, supporting internal and external events.
