    Role Overview:

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ranging from moderate learning difficulties (MLD) to complex needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as behavioural challenges.

    You will be responsible for preparing learning resources, fostering students' confidence, self-esteem, and independence, assisting with understanding instructions and schoolwork using personalized techniques, and providing valuable feedback and assistance to teachers.

    Additionally, you will play a crucial role in integrating students with difficulties/disabilities into the mainstream education system by addressing their physical needs and offering instructional support to teachers.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Prepare engaging and inclusive learning resources that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN.
    Cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel empowered to develop their confidence, self-esteem, and independence.

    Utilize a variety of techniques to help students understand instructions and schoolwork, ensuring that learning is accessible and meaningful to each individual.

    Collaborate with teachers to provide ongoing feedback on student progress and to offer assistance in implementing effective teaching strategies.

    Support the integration of students with SEN into mainstream education by attending to their physical needs and offering instructional support to teachers as needed.

    Adapt your approach to meet the specific needs of students, including those with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour management and social-emotional development

    Requirements:
    Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably within an educational setting.
    Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
    A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
    Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and challenges of each student.
    Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or a related field would be advantageous
