    My client, a market-leading global FinTech organisation, is seeking a Director of Engineering to join their group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a established organisation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Your responsibility includes guiding the software development lifecycle for the core platform and establishing collaborative practices throughout the team to uphold engineering standards and regulatory commitments.
    • Foster a collaborative engineering culture that engages with cross-functional teams, including product, design, compliance, and legal.
    • Facilitate productive discussions, resolve obstacles, and foster collaboration to enhance engineering and product development practices.
    • Cultivate and guide team growth through strategic hiring and career development plans, establishing clear short- and long-term objectives.
    • Communicate senior management's vision and establish and communicate business goals to the team that align with this vision.
    • Work closely with the CTO, CPO, and COO on company-wide initiatives.
    • Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering team.
    • Maintain and optimise budgets and teams to meet goals.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Background in application development.
    • Demonstrated program and project management expertise with a proven track record of successfully delivering product roadmaps while leading agile teams.
    • Extensive familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to envision long-term goals and strategies.
    • In-depth knowledge of web and integration technologies.
    • Prior experience in FinTech or the Financial services industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent qualification.

    Compensation:

    • Salary: £ 140k -£ 180k
    • Generous pension + healthcare
