We're recruiting a Family Learning Coordinator (Jobshare) to join our creative and dynamic Family and Community Team at the British Library.


The British Library's Learning Team is responsible for leading on the Library's engagement with school students, teachers, young people, families, and adult learners.

The collection is at the heart of our unique learning programme which offers a range of opportunities for audiences to explore, connect and interact both onsite, online and nationally.


The Family Learning Coordinator is central to coordinating and providing administrative and event support for the Family and Community Programme in the Learning Team.

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Family and Community Programmes Managers on the delivery of an exciting programme of onsite and outreach activities for a family audience.

You'll be working with children aged 0-11 years and their parents and carers on large-scale events, weekend workshops and projects.

The programme aims to build long-term relationships with families as well as engage new audience with the British Library with a focus on reaching families from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds.

This is a 3-day a week role and will involve some weekend working.
