This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the Employment, Skills and Learning Team to assist the Food Talent Pathway project.


Food Talent Pathway empowers Bristol's food and hospitality scene with free training and job coaching for job seekers, employees seeking in-work progression, businesses and community enterprises.


You will thrive on meeting and guiding new people into training, jobs and long -term careers in this vital business sector.


Food Talent Pathway is a Government funded pilot project which we hope will lead to ongoing support for the food and hospitality sector and we will be seeking ongoing funding to continue the scheme.


If you have a good knowledge of the food and hospitality sector and have worked within the industry then this post might be for you.

More importantly you will be confident and comfortable supporting Bristol citizens either face to face or on the phone.

Although not essential, experience of or qualifications in providing Careers, Employment, Information, Advice and Guidance will enhance delivery of the service.


Additionally, you will have strong organisation and administration skills to support smooth running of all aspects of the project; including timely achievements of project aims and objectives.


The post is available for a fixed term until 31st March 2025 and could be considered as a secondment opportunity.

How do I apply?

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
**If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
